This is interesting list, alittle incomplete due  to dates of purchases, and 
I do not know if contracts are needed, but this at  least lets the islanders 
know alittle bit more about the market  place.
 
Al's Oil, Amittyville......$1.97  as of  1-15-09 - no contract 
(my oil company, although if I confirm some of  these number not for long)
 
Affordable Fuel.............$1.36 date and  quantity unknown
Their web site shows today's price as $1.98 for  at least 250 gallons.

Moriana Oil...................$$2.19 as a momber  of NYPIRG
 
Timms Oil.....................$2.00 early  December
 
Patterson Oil................$1.80 
 
Dart Fuel.......................$1.79 two weeks  ago (Dart at the beginning 
of August $3.68)
 
Slomans.........................$1.90 with no  contract, tough to get on 
phone to confirm
