[Fredslist] Contemporary Art Gallery Fall Internship

I am currently the Head Office Manager at an incredible contemporary art gallery located on Spring Street in Nolita. 

We are currently looking for an Archival Intern for 2/3 days a week during the fall (including one weekend day), starting immediately.

Job description:  The intern will primarily be responsible for upkeep of inventory and archives, both physical and electronic.  Other functions will include assistance with administrative duties, the maintenance of artist portfolios, and art handling.  

Requirements: Previous gallery or arts experience is not necessary.  Must be a motivated individual and an excellent multi-tasker, who is able to take on a wide variety of responsibilities. Candidate should be comfortable handling heavy paintings.
