Hey Gotham - My good friend is seeking a roommate for huge studio sized room in a 2 bedroom apartment near Columbia.? She's a lovely lady and is renting out her second bedroom in a two bedroom apt. Her description of the rental is as follows (let's see if we can give this woman some Gotham magic!):

The room is in
a delightful sun drenched apt in an exceptional prewar building. It is
located on a beautiful tree line block of the Upper West Side on West
End Ave, 15 blocks south of Columbia University.




The room for rent is huge at 200 sq ft, bright and quiet. The room
gets wonderful natural light from the two very large windows. The room
was recently painted and has brand new hardwood floors. It has a large
built in closet but is otherwise unfurnished. Amenities include a
washer/dryer in the basement and an audio/video security at the front
door of this elevator building.




We live in an excellent location...very close to the 1/2/3/4/A/C
subways and Broadway buses. The surrounding area is very cosmopolitan
with bars, coffee shops and restaurants. It's also the perfect area to
relax in as it's only blocks away from Central Park and Riverside Park.




Rent
is $1,000 per month. Rent includes the huge 2nd bedroom, eat-in kitchen
and bathroom (with a full size bath) BUT NOT the living
room area. A once a month cleaner is also included in the price. Hot
water is included in the rent, however gas and electric bills are
additional. The apt comes with wireless cable included in the rent. TV
cable is additional if you want a converter box in the room. One month
rent and a month security needed upfront.





NOTE: Ideally I'd love to find someone who wanted a pied-a-terre in
the city or who travels a lot and just needs a home base situation.


Otherwise I'm seeking a roommate with a full time job or is a
full time student outside of the apt. I work from the apt so having 2
people working from here during the day would be too difficult.
