[Fredslist] How to enhance old photos--help needed

Hello along the network.  

 

I have some old photographs from the 1940s (parents' graduation from
college) that are somewhat faded and not up to current standards.  Does
anyone have any ideas on how I might have them updated and clarified (if
such a thing is possible)?
