Dear fellow Gothamites,
   
  I cannot recommend anyone more highly than Katalin Goenncz for those of you who find yourselves, friends or family caught up in the Medicare/Medicaid maze. She is an indispensable resource.
   
  Sooner or later, whether you are an adviser, consumer or mere citizen, you will encounter individuals with Medicare and Medicaid questions that can only truly be addressed by an expert. That expert is Gotham's own Katalin  Goencz CIC, Medical Reimbursement Specialist of  MedBillsAssist.
   
  One situation involved a 65 year old female who was paying $900 a month for her grandfathered health insurance policy but was confused about Medicare and certain healthcare benefits she might be sacrificing in the switch. In addition to hefty premiums, she had serious pharmaceutical expenses  that Medicare might not pick up since she failed to register for Part D. This can be a catch-22 for anyone and overwhelming for someone alone in the world facing medical challenges. Katalin was thorough, responsive, tireless in her research and demonstrated the patience of a saint to someone at a difficult crossroad. My client is grateful beyond measure. Katalin really took care of her.
   
  The second situation involved the grandfather of a step-granddaughter who ended up in foster care in another state. He wanted to bring her home to New York to live with him and his wife and give her a stable homelife. However, he needed help in transferring her Medicaid from Ohio to New York to pay for her medical expenses while she attained residency. Again, Katalin was a miracle worker. Ohio told him he had to work this through NY. Katalin determined that it was Ohio's responsibility to facilitate the transfer and she provided the know-how to facilitate this complicated interstate family transaction.
