[Fredslist] Question about The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)

Hi Gotham Labor Law Specialists,
 
Is anyone very familiar with The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)?
 
I use a volunteer to help with scanning documents in my office one or
two days a month. I was recently told this was a potential violation of
FLSA. Does anyone know if this is the case? Keep in mind we are a large
medical facility with almost 8000 employees.
 
If anyone can point me to the appropriate language in the Act that shows
an exclusion, I would be much appreciative. I really value that help
from our volunteers.
