Dear Tribe:

 

Why do they have all those horrible jokes about lawyers?

 

I just had my second house call within a few weeks with a Gotham member of
the bar and they have both been most pleasant and productive. 

 

It was one of those hot August days and Ben arrived hot as ever in his suit
and tie but with a smile. I had met Ben once or  twice before, while riding
the circuit, and the one thing that always stuck with me was his constant
smile. While sipping some cold drinks, we found how much we had in common
with Jewish community activities, government and politics, both past and
present. As a G2, second generation of a Holocaust survivor, he and my wife
shared similar experiences. My father and uncles, on the other hand, were in
US Army and Air Force uniforms during those tumultuous years and my
perspective has always been from a different angle. (It's a topic I may come
to write about one day.)

 

Before you knew it, time was up and we hadn't even talked about potential
business leads  but we had connected. 

 

Isn't that what Gotham is really all about?
