Subject: Ronald McDonald House of New York, Light A Light, Share A
Night!

Dear Ronald McDonald House Friend and Staff Member:

Attached, please find a brochure for a new campaign that can help us
fill in the gap for families struggling to meet the $35 payment to
stay a night at the Ronald McDonald House of New York. As you know
the families that stay with us have a child with cancer and are being
treated at a New York City hospital.

The campaign is fully explained in the brochure. Frankly, I am hoping
to recruit you to help us help families in need. The main idea is
that for a donation of $20 a donor can have a Holiday Card sent with
hand written greetings by a Ronald McDonald House Volunteer to the
person of their choice, and they will be sharing the cost of a night's
stay for a family at the Ronald McDonald House. The card's recipient
will be informed that a donation has been made in their name by the
sender to help a family during the Holiday Season.

This can be a great way to have select Holiday Cards sent to Loved
Ones, Friends, or Business Associates.

And, for every $20 donation, a light will be added to our Holiday
Decorations for our families to enjoy while they stay at their home
away from home. Hence the name of the Campaign: Light A Light, Share
A Night!

Please return all Holiday Card lists to me at my address below.

You can help us start the campaign now, but it will officially
kick-off on December 5th (the first night of Chanukah) with our
Festival of Lights and Song. Chaplain Cherilyn Frye is planning a fun
evening that will observe the traditions of Chanukah, Christmas and
Kwanza. The children of the house and guest artists will lead us in
the festival beginning at 5:30 PM, and during the program we will
countdown to the illumination of our Holiday Decorations. Holiday
Cheer will be served in our Living Room after the festival. This
should be an exciting night for our families and guests. We are
hoping that some special guests will be able to join us from Radio
City Music Hall, one kicks high on a stage and the other flies high in
a sleigh.

Please help us to spread the word about this new campaign and I hope
you will plan to be at the House on December 5, 2007. Please contact
me if you have any questions.
