[Fredslist] computer advice needed

Dear Gotham -

My old Thinkpad is kaput.  I need a new laptop and I'm considering a MacBook with the Duo processor to run both windows and OS x Tiger.  Can an old PC guy find happiness here?  I'll need to run PowerPoint for business clients, and trade word processing with a PC desktop.  

Or should I just save my money and get an HP at Comp USA?
