Nancy's below email highlights the unparalleled resources we have available to us if we are in the unfortunate situation of being stunned by a personal situation requiring the negotiation of the extremely daunting health care system. Ben Geizhals is one of our premier volunteer "go to guys", but there are many others such as Susan Sajiun-Fitzharris and Irene Zelterman. I hope the situation never presents itself, but help is only an email away!

It is with great appreciation and gratitude that I am sending this Renatto to thank everyone who responded to my email earlier this week seeking help to get my dad a bed at St. Francis Hospital.  So many Gothamites sent thoughts, good wishes and prayers and each and every one was received with gratitude.  So many Gothamites also offerred to use their resources to directly help get my dad a bed and that was also greatly appreciated.  
 
In the end, our own pro bono general counsel, Ben Geizhals was able to accomplish what appeared to be otherwise impossible.   After two nights in a crowded emergency room, my father was moved to a room.  A most special thank you to Ben for his help.  It made a huge difference through a difficult time.
 
For all who inquiried, I am happy to report that my dad is doing much better and is expected to be released from the hospital sometime within the next few days.
