[Fredslist] GSM phone--a phone to use in US, Asia, Eur etc.

Fred Klein suggested I define further what I need.  I was told that I cannot
rent a phone in Copenhagen where I am headed tomorrow. They just don't do it
there.  So, I want to rent or buy one here that I can start using this
weekend. I have been told by several vendors that one needs 6-10 days
advanced notice to have this "activated."

Any help sincerely appreciated,
