I am looking for a personal injury lawyer who is willing to take on a
case in Dade County.  The accident happened on September 4, 2004 at the
Fiesta Contessa Hotel in Cancun Mexico.  On Sept. 4th I went to get a
message at 10:00am and when I was descending the steps in the spa I
slipped and broke my right ankle.   The hotel took us to a hospital in
Mexico were they told us that I had torn ligaments and that I had not
broken any bones.  When we arrived in NY I went to an orthopedic doctor
who said it was defiantly broken and ligaments were torn.  I was in a
cast for 6 weeks and physical therapy for about 8 weeks.  I was out of
work for 10 weeks.
 
We did a little research on the spa and found that they were owned by a
company in Dade county Florida and therefore sought counsel there.  One
firm said that there is a case but they are too large and do not handle
small claims.  A sole practitioner said "you have a case but I am only
one person and can not handle it by myself."  I guess we are looking for
a medium size firm or just someone who gives a damn.    I have a pretty
extensive file with medical reports, photos, doctors letters etc.  If
you can think of anyone who could handle this case I would really
appreciate it.
