Attention Gotham City Jazz lovers!  

GALA 2005 will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2005, at 6:30 p.m., at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Battery Park.

WBGO Jazz 88.3 FM, the only station that features 24/7 American Classical Music (Jazz, Blues, R & B) is hosting its 26th Anniversary Gala, black-tie event.

GALA 2005 will feature Jazz Achievement Awards to the great vocalist Nancy Wilson and Ahmet Ertegun (Founding Chairman of Atlantic Records), who brought Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin into the public eye.

There will be fabulous food and drink, a silent auction, and a live performance by Jazz vocalist Rene Marie.

Last year we had an amazing time, enjoying the 25th anniversary Gala in the company of Bill Cosby and the world-famous pianists Dave Brubeck, Billy Taylor and Marian McPartland.
 
This year, I have been asked to serve on the GALA 2005 Committee, and I would be delighted to be in the company of Gotham City Networking's like-minded lovers of American Classical Music, to help make this event another rousing success.

Individual tickets will be $500.

Donation levels of $5,000, $10,000, $25,000 and $50,000 will purchase premiere table seating and other perks.

If you are a Jazz lover and would like to contribute to our ongoing efforts to keep Jazz alive, please contact me for further details.
