[Fredslist] re: planning a trip to japan

i am planning to go to japan in may 2006.  i would prefer a cruise,  but two 
of the cruises i was thinking of (odyssey and a princess) was already  booked. 
 i would consider a land tour. looking to go for about 9-14  days.  does 
anyone out there work with a real creative (possibly discount)  travel agent who 
can help me plan this vacation.  i am going with my  daughter who is graduating 
from college.  combining sightseeing with  history and overall fun.
 
any good ideas from you gothamites?
