[Fredslist] Importing a Car

We are thinking about importing a car from Europe via a local dealership
pursuant to a diplomatic program.  Has anyone had any experience with
importing a car who could give me some idea as to how much duty must be
paid and how much of a hassle it is to import rather than just buy locally.
