[Fredslist] HELP --Gothamite In Need of Apartment and/or Broker on the UWS

Dear Fellow Gothamites,

Today I received an eviction notice from the current owner of my apartment
building that I must vacate my home on or before January 31, 2006. This
notice is due to the recent 70 million dollar sale of the apartment
building to a developer.  The new building owners take over on January 1,
2006 and are not renewing tenant leases.

With this unsettling and sad news I am asking for your help.  I am now in
need of finding a place to live either a one bedroom apartment or studio
preferably on the Upper West Side between the 60's & 80's.  Because I am
still new to the city I was hoping someone might be able to recommend a 
broker to help me find a new apartment or might even know of someone who
has an apartment I can rent for me and my dog.

It am also opened to purchasing an apartment as well, however given the
short period of time I have to move I'm certain if that would be possible
within the short time frame.
