[Fredslist] Places for reception

I am looking for recommendations of places in NYC or along the river in NJ
or Brooklyn to have a cocktail reception, with heavy hors d'oeuvrs on a
Sat. night in March for about 50 people.  We would like someplace nice, but
that won't charge an outrageous amount.  Any suggestions would be
appreciated.
