I am pleased by the outcome of the Apple case -- when the FBI sought to compel Apple to assist in breaking into the iPhone of the San Bernardino terrorists. Although I was leaning toward upholding privacy even in the face of national security, I was not completely comfortable with the prospect of a Judge deciding and establishing a rule of law between those interests.
At the end of the day, its nice to move on, at least for the time-being, without that legal decision being made. It is also nice to have my faith in hackers restored and further confirm that nothing is absolutely secure.
